I was so lucky to be off work on the last sunny and warm day in October. I attempted to do a 50′s pinup hairstyle, but my headscarf wouldn’t behave. I gave up and decided to leave my hair in a ponytail. The day started out really nice, but became a nightmare towards the middle. I’ll leave that rant for a later post.
Moving on from the negative, Mark and I went to Red Ribbon for Halo-Halo. It was good, but I would have to say Jollibee in NY has the best halo-halo.
It was getting late so we decided to just have thai food at Sripraphai restaurant. It’s just across the street from Red Ribbon. The service was great and the place looks clean. They have a separate vegetarian menu, which is a plus for me. I had the vegetarian pad thai, mock fish balls and Mark had the beef Pad-See-Ew. I was disappointed with my pad thai. It was tasteless that night. Mark rates his food a 7/10 and thought it was OK. I would probably would come back here again and order something else.
Mark and I wanted to take photos at Little Bay Park which overlooks the Throgs Neck Bridge. I love that place. However it was just too windy that it was impossible to take photos. Mark managed to take one and here’s the result. I only wished I didn’t wear my miraculous bra.
Since I couldn’t do a proper outfit photo, I decided to just set up a tripod and take photos at home.
Dress: Anthropologie
I love this lavender dress. The sleeve details just make it look so unique. It was too big on me, but I still decided to buy it. I might have to do some altering to make it fit better. It’s just too cute to give away.
This was the actual outfit I wore that day.
Clogs: Tory Burch
Jacket: H&M
Sunglasses: Super
Cardigan: Anthropologie
I didn’t wear this sweater, but I did bring it along in case it got too cold. I like to be prepared and be comfortable.
Photos were taken with Canon 7D using Canon 24mmf/1.4 lens.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day.
