Victoria’s Secret Semi Annual Sale

Yes, another shopping blog! At this rate, I’ll never save money and buy a house. Ah who cares! A house is too much commitment in my opinion. I’ll probably regret saying this in 20 years, but “I wanna live life now.” To be honest with you, I really don’t buy from Victoria’s Secret on a regular basis. I find their products too overpriced for my taste. I prefer looking for a cheaper alternative, like Forever21. However twice a year I do give in to their temptations and splurge during their semi annual sale. It also helps when they have numerous coupon codes available for further discounts.

I initially went crazy adding items I want to my shopping bag. However there is a method to my madness. By doing this method, I make sure I don’t leave any item out. Once I’m done, I go to my shopping cart and I start narrowing my choices down. Initially my total was $640, but I narrowed it down to $385.32. With my discount the total came to $330.31. I ended up getting 20 items from their online catalog, ranging from spaghetti straps to sweaters.

Next thing I did was look for coupon codes before I checked out my items. Coupon codes makes the shopping worth it, and I save even more. You usually get free shipping with purchases of $100 or more with the code FREE100. Your allowed to use up to 3 different codes and sometimes you can stack different codes to get further discounts. In my case, I used the coupon code SP1020029. It allowed $15 OFF 100. $30 OFF 150. $75 OFF 250. $150 OFF 500. However FREE100 and SP1020029 cannot be used together in my case, sometimes it works though so it doesn’t hurt to try. The shipping cost was $20, so I decided to use the $75 off coupon code, I still end up saving $50 eventhough I had to pay for shipping. I also added GOLD150 coupon code to get a free tote bag worth $165. With this code you get a gold tote bag with $150 purchase or a swim tote with $125 purchase. I also tried FA918289 to get 25% off one item. I tried to get the miraculous bra which was $48 and with the code came out to $39. However the code only worked with a Victoria’s Secret card, which I don’t have. It canceled my 25% discount and changed it back to full price. An important thing to note with VS coupon code is that it has an expiration date, and the codes are always changing. Also play around the different codes to get the best deal.

I am also very satisfied with the speedy arrival of my order. I chose standard shipping on January 4th, 2010 with the expected delivery date of January 11, 2010. Imagine my surprise and happiness when the packaged arrived early on January 8th, 2010. I was so excited, and I felt like a little kid opening her gifts on Christmas day.
