I’m addicted to makeup. However, my oily acne prone skin was and still is creating problems to my makeup application. I’m so excited I found No7 purifying sauna mask to help alleviate the problem. I should let you know that initially I was using Tazorac and Erythromycin Benzoyl Peroxide topical cream my dermatologist prescribed for me every other day. I’m also taking Yaz birth control to control my hormones, and therefore decrease my oil production. Three months of taking Yaz has definitely normalize my skin, and it is no longer oily. Over a month ago, the two topical medication mentioned above caused some mild dryness which was easily remedied with VitAPlus illuminating masque. Once my skin adjusted to the medications, I started to apply the two topical medications daily. Not a very good idea to do in the past month, especially since the weather became harsher. Now my skin is super dry, and I have so much flaking around my cheeks, mouth and forehead.
The ViTAPlus, was definitely not cutting it anymore. I also was going to a baby shower the next day, and I needed a good mask or exfoliator. I try not use grainy exfoliants, because I feel that the beads irritate my skin even more. Irritated skin usually stimulate more oil production and then acne flareups. So I went to Target and searched for product that would make my skin smoother. I spent a long time going back and forth between the different brands. I finally settled on No7 Purifying Sauna Mask. I have never tried their product before, but the lady promoting the product in Target convinced me.
The product is creamy, with very fine grains. The product is not abrasive for those with sensitive skin. It is ideal for people who have combination or blemish prone skin. The best part is that it heats up once it comes in contact with water. I massage it on my damp face for 1-2 minutes and leave it on for 2 minutes. Then just rinse it off. I have to make sure I rinse my face thoroughly or I end up with white patches especially around the hairline. I use this product 2-3 times a week. My skin feels so smooth after, and I feel like a moisturizer has been applied to it. If you’ve used ponds cold cream, the texture of my skin is just like that once the product is rinsed off. The only con I can think of is that when I’m in the shower, the smell faintly reminds me of formaldehyde and frogs. However it seems that many of the unscented masks or exfoliants smell similar. The smell is easily overlooked with the great results.
I bought the No7 purifying sauna mask for $14.99, went home and tried it. I was so impressed, and so happy with the results. It got rid of all the flaking and my skin was so soft. Definitely an affordable must have.
