This post is a follow up on my recent visit to MAC. I didn’t buy too much, and trust me it was hard trying to practice self control. I ended up buying 2 lipstick and one eyeshadow. One is a matte finish and the other amplified. Check out this link, if you’re clueless about the different eyeshadow and lipstick finish.
Pink plaid is a matte lipstick. It has no shimmer or gloss, but I’m loving the color. I can’t believe I didn’t buy it sooner. It’s such a pretty color. It can look light pink, or mauve depending on the lighting. It is similar to MAC’s brave lipstick in a satin finish. I do like the matte finish, but I find myself putting lip gloss on top of it.
Girl about town lipstick has an amplified finish. It’s creamy with a glossy finish. It’s darker pink, a little bit more like fuchsia. It’s such a fun color. I actually wore it to work, and had mixed reactions. Others loved it, and others thought it was too bright. One comment was, “You look like you’re going clubbing.” My response was “Yes, we’re partying in the ED.” My own personal thoughts about makeup is that it’s fun. With winter so dull and gray, it can be depressing outside. I just want a little color to brighten up my day.

I’m so excited with my new eyeshadow. I finally got MAC’s tempting eyeshadow. It’s such a rich coco color with a lustre finish. I first saw it in Macy’s MAC counter, but they were sold out. Big disappointment, but I found out its a pro color, so its was defiinitely in stock. Picked it up once I arrived at the MAC store.
Photos were taken with Canon rebel xsi and Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens.
